One question that SolidWorks users frequently ask our support team is if there is a way to tell which dimensions have changed since the last time you opened a drawing. In the past this has always been a limitation. However starting with SolidWorks 2012 there is now an option to accomplish this task.
To toggle this option just navigate to the “Tools, Options, System Options, Colors” section. At the bottom of that section you will see an option to “Use specified color for changed drawing dimensions on open”. The default color is orange but you can change that color from this same section of the options.
Please note after you save and close the drawing with the changed dimensions, the changed dimensions highlighting is reset.
