SOLIDWORKS Essentials Training

Duration: 5 days
Prerequisites: Mechanical design experience
Description: This course establishs the foundation of skills necessary to begin using SOLIDWORKS. Students will learn how to build parametric models of parts and assemblies and how to make detailed drawings of their designs.

SOLIDWORKS Advanced Training

Duration: 4 days
Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Essentials Training
Description: This course focuses on advanced part and assembly modeling techniques.  Topics include: multibody solids, sweeping, lofting, and more advanced shaping capabilities of SOLIDWORKS.  Students will also learn how to maximize the use of the assembly modeling capabilites of SOLIDWORKS.

Sheet Metal

Duration: 2 days
Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Essentials Training
Description: This course focuses on how to build sheet metal parts using SOLIDWORKS. Building standalone sheet metal parts, and converting conventional parts to sheet metal is covered.

Description: This course focuses on how to create welded structures with standard structural members.

SOLIDWORKS Surfacing Modeling

Duration: 2 days

Description: This course focuses on how to build freeform shapes using SOLIDWORKS mechanical design automation software.

Description: This course focuses on several manual mold creation techniques and how to use the mold tools in SOLIDWORKS.

Description: This course focuses on how to create, edit and manage Electrical routes, from the critical routing components and their design requirements to the sub-assemblies that contain the routes.

SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional Bundle

SOLIDWORKS Simulation (Intro to FEA)

Duration: 2 days
Prerequisites: Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS and basic mechanical engineering concepts is recommended.
Description: This course focuses on in-depth coverage of the basics of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), covering the entire analysis process from meshing to evalutation of results for parts and assemblies.  This class discusses linear stress analysis, gap/contact analysis, and best practices.

SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional

Duration: 1 day
Prerequisites:  SOLIDWORKS Simulation (Intro to FEA) Training
Description: This course focuses on in-depth coverage of the advanced topics in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), including heat transfer analysis, frequency analysis, fatigue, stability analysis based on linear buckling concepts, 2D simulations (plane stress, strain and axisymmetry) and pressure vessel modulus.  Examples of parts and assemblies including those with various gap contact conditions are reviewed.

SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium: Nonlinear

Duration: 2 days
Prerequisites:  SOLIDWORKS Simulation (Intro to FEA) and Simulation Professional Training
Description: This course gives an overview on a wide range of nonlinear structural & mechanical analysis topics.  You will learn how to deal with models that exhibit large displacements and/or yielding, discuss and practice the use of many material models available in SOLIDWORKS Simulation and, most importantly, how to drive a nonlinear analysis to successful completion. 

SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium: Dynamics

Duration: 2 days
Prerequisite:  Prerequisite:  Must have attended the basic SOLIDWORKS Simulation class.  The knowledge of basic principles in vibrations is strongly recommended, but not required.
Description: This course is targeted for the users who would like to become productive in analyzing structures subjected to various types of dynamic loading.  The material covered includes the time dependent analysis (force loads as well as motion shock loading examples), harmonic analysis, and random vibration analysis (MILS-STD-810F example is included), response spectrum analysis, and introduction to non-linear dynamics simulation.

Flow Simulation

Duration: 2 days
Prerequisite:  Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS and basic mechanical engineering concepts is recommended.
Description: This course focuses on an in-depth session of the basics of flow analysis.  In addition, it covers meshing and modeling concerns, internal/external, laminar/turbulent flow, conduction/convection/radiation heat transfer, and electronic cooling.

SOLIDWORKS Plastics

Duration: 2 days
Prerequisite:  Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS and fundamental knowledge of plastic materials, plastic part design and/or injection mold design.
Description: This course focuses how to use specialized simulation software tools to predict how melted plastic flows during the injection molding process. Predicting how the plastic will flow enables you to predict manufacturing defects such as weld lines, air traps, short shots, and sink marks.

PDM Courses:

SOLIDWORKS Workgroup PDM

Duration: 1 day
Prerequisite: Experience with Windows OS and basic SOLIDWORKS file structure and referencing
Description: The course focuses on the fundamental skills and concepts to the successful use the SolidWorks Workgroup PDM. Both vault administrators and users will benefit from this course.

Administering SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM
Duration: 2 days
Prerequisite: Experience with Windows OS and basic SOLIDWORKS file structure and referencing
Description: This course focuses on the fundamental skills and concepts central to the successful use the SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM.  The intended audience for this course is anyone who will setup and/or administer SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM.

Using SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM

Duration: 1/2 day
Prerequisite: Experience with Windows OS and basic SOLIDWORKS file structure and referencing
Description: This course focuses on the fundamental skills and concepts central to the successful use the SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM.  The intended audience for this course is anyone who will manage files with SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM.

Duration: 2 days
Prerequisite: Experience with Windows OS
Description: This course focuses on how to use SOLIDWORKS Composer software to create 2D and 3D output from CAD design data. Some of the topics include creating static images, interactive content, and animations for your technical documentation.

SOLIDWORKS Electrical - 2D Schematic

Duration: 2 Days
Prerequisite: Experience in Electrical Design
Description: This course focuses on how to use the SOLIDWORKS Electrical software to create detailed schematic projects. Some of the topics include single line diagrams, cabling, schematics, PLC, control drawings, and the reporting tools to optimize your electrical designs. This course is focused on 2D Design. 

SOLIDWORKS Electrical - 3D

Duration: 1 Day
Prerequisite: Completion of SOLIDWORKS Essentials Course
Description: This course focuses on the tools to the successful integration of the electrical and mechanical design tools in SOLIDWORKS Electrical and SOLIDWORKS Mechanical design software. This course is focused on 3D Design.

CAMWorks Milling Training

Duration: 2 Days
Prerequisites: Completion of SOLIDWORKS Essentials Course
Description: This course focuses on 2 ½ - 3 axis milling tool path generation. Software's features are discussed using practical examples of common milling practices. Course covers creating, editing, simulating, and positioning the mill tool path from within the SolidWorks environment. 

CAMWorks Lathe Training

Duration: 1 Day
Prerequisites: Completion of SOLIDWORKS Essentials Course
Description: This course focuses on 2-4 axis lathe tool path generation. A one day course with a focus on lathe practices. Creating, editing, simulation, and posting of the generated tool path as well as lathe specific issues such as Work in Process models for second operations in a lathe and creating sketch profiles to define stock shape is also covered. 

CAMWorks EDM Training

Duration: 1 Day
Prerequisites: Completion of SOLIDWORKS Essentials Course
Description: This course focuses on 2-4 axis EDM tool path generation. A one daycourse with a focus on EDM practices. This course also covers creating, editing, simulating, and posting of the generated tool path and EDM specific issues such as generating die features and creating sync curves for 4 axis contours.

CAMWorks Mill/Turn Training

Duration: 1 Day
Prerequisites: Completion of SOLIDWORKS Essentials, CAMWorks Milling, and CAMWorks Lathe Training courses
Description: This course focuses on 2-4 axis lathe using either C axis of "off center" Y axis tool path generation. This course goes on to cover the specifics of working with live tooling, including creating wrapped features and controlling the rotation angle of milling set ups using planes. 

CAMWorks Multi-axis Training

Duration: 1 Day
Prerequisites: Completion of SOLIDWORKS Essentials and CAMWorks Milling Training courses
Description: This course focuses on 4-5 axis simultaneous machining operations. You will learn common 4 and 5 axis operations such as swarf cutting and undercutting techniques as well as advanced collision detection for tool, tool holder and fixtures.
